Mission to New York: The Journey Begins
I N T R O D U C T I O N
I packed up my apartment in Tulsa Oklahoma 2 weeks ago with literally EVERYTHING I own. I quit my job and headed to Atlanta, with $400 to my name, jobless in a sense with a loaded Budget truck and my 06’ mustang attached to the back: full of faith and ready to walk the mission God has placed in my heart. Unsure of what was ahead, I drove 12 hours straight to my parent’s home in Atlanta to drop off my things, then took a direct flight to LaGuardia Airport the following day.
Tomorrow marks my second official week here in New York City. Remedy Network has been on the MOVE! God is awesome. City transformation is on my heart.
I want to briefly update you on what’s happened in the last 2 weeks:
First and foremost I want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who attend our launch event at the end of last month. (If you haven’t yet, check our newly launched Facebook Page at the bottom of this blog to see pictures! Make sure you tag yourself!) I am overcome by all of your letters, love and support. My faith walk has been strengthened and I have begun to see the power of almighty God when you truly submit to his will and plan for life.
About Every Nation NYC: Remedy Network Inc. has partnered with Every Nation NYC, a church plant here in New York City. I am apart of their missionary internship program and have begun the preliminary stages of my role within the church. As of now, I am serving as a Brooklyn Connect Group Leader, Our East Side Campus Leader and our PM Service Connect Group Leader. As of now, my role includes (but not limited to) setting up connect groups in Brooklyn to help grow the ministry presence. With our PM service, I will play a large in role in bringing together recent graduates and young adults to introduce them to our church and connect groups. Many of them are from NYU, and Brooklyn College.
ENNYC is an awesome church and has quite the reach; currently they operate in 89 nations across the globe and they are all about community. Within the program, I am taking a systematic theology course and going through the book The Pursuit of God by AW Tozer.
Recent interactions with people in the entertainment industry: I have been AMAZED by the reach Remedy Network has begun so far with the entertainment industry! Folks, this has truly blown my mind what God has done. Media is one of our prime focuses as a company: especially reaching out to the entertainment industry. This week I had the pleasure of meeting JoJo, DJ Envy, Dan Cathy, Pastor Luio Giglio and Willow’s Smith management team. 2016 Remedy Conference & Partnering with Kalief Browder: One of our main focuses as a company is to reach out to the Family of Kaleif Browder, a 22 year old native New Yorker who committed sucicide in 2014 stemming from depression. Kalief was wrongly conivicted of a crime and served two years on Rikers Island in New York City. Read more on Kalief’s story here.

You successfully helped us raise $3,600 at our launch event in Tulsa. I want to extend a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your donations allow me to live day to day and supports our work here in New York City.
We are currently in need of $2,600 dollars to finish our goal for the end of the year. The missions program is a grand total of $6,200. All funds go towards supporting Remedy Network missions work in New York, along with covering basic living expenses.
As your founder, I have dedicated my life to pointing people to the only Remedy that can fix any problem the world faces - Jesus Christ.
